As a former Twitch streamer and content creator, I have been doxed before. I feel the need to spread awareness and share how to guard your accounts, personal information and more from hackers who would like to obtain it. Here are some points on how to avoid being hacked.

Network Safety:

• Firewalls and Antivirus Software: Protecting your computer from viruses, bad malware, and other internet risks is made easier by using firewalls and antivirus programs.

• Secure Passwords: Creating a powerful, unique passwords for different online accounts should be mandatory. Using a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters enhances security.

• Awareness and Education: Stay informed with the latest threats and anti-viruses. Staying informed can help you avoid malwares, viruses and other dangerous programs in your System unit.   

 

Netiquette:

• Be Clear and Concise: Be concise and clear in your messaging when interacting with others online. Use appropriate grammar and punctuation, and refrain from writing in all caps.

• Think Before You Post: Consider how others may interpret any communication you write or post before sending it. Steer clear of insulting comments and think about the effect you could have.

• Be Patient and Tolerant: Discussions on the internet can occasionally get heated. Refrain from starting flame wars or acting in an offensive manner. Instead, use tolerance and patience.
